Welcome to your new Premium Radio Station on the
KryKey Network. This tutorial will give you a
quick and basic way of getting up and running
using the Media Console and Studio. The very
first thing
we advise is NOT to use the browsers Chrome or
Safari as they do not work correctly in the
Studio.
and we recommend Firefox to get the best from
the current Studio. |

and information about and for your Premium Radio
Station. |
- Message from us will be displayed here

your ranking

sub-screens giving you more features and
options
- we call this the TRACKER, which displays
to you when the next invoice is issued, what
that date is, the service type you have, the
fee you are paying, and when the invoice is

To get broadcasting/streaming to the world, on
the main Media Console navigation panel labeled
number '3' in the screen shot above, please
select STUDIO |
- these four displays are for the unique &
total listeners for the week, the total
listening hours for the week and how much
co2 was produced for the week
- the programmable buttons and
Status-Alerts can be set in the Media
Console RADIO screen but you do not need
them to start broadcasting/streaming
- Media Console Navigation
- the current Studio has a separate login
system so you need to use the login details
supplied
for the Studio and not the Media Console.
Once you have these:
- add the email address
- type in the passcode/word
- click/tap OWNER-STUDIO ONE button
This is the current Studio as you can see in the
screenshot below. This Studio is being replaced
by the Media Console and will be fully replaced
this year.
The Studio requires Adobe Flash in your Browser
and it does NOT function correctly using Chrome
or Safari and we recommend Firefox. |

content libraries (songs, podcasts, promos,
etc), open the administration screen and
logout

- STOP which terminates the
broadcast/streaming
- MIC the is for the microphone to turn on

to also use the LyvShow PC app
- LINEIN same as MIC
- displays to you what is playing, what is
next and what has been played
- this is the BROADCAST area or some call

to broadcast/stream

content into the BROADCAST area for playing

TO GET STARTED LETS UPLOAD A SONG
Click on the Studio
navigation, the UPLOAD SONGS button |
MEDIA CONSOLE STUDIO PRS MUSIC
LIBRARY SCREEN |
With this screen (which is soon to be replaced
with a multi-upload screen in the Media
Console), you can (1) select a song from your PC
and then (2) add to your music library (upload) |
SONGS MUST BE TAGGED CORRECTLY |
Before you upload, you must check if the song is
'tagged' correctly. Currently you can use a few
ways to check the required tags (song name,
artist name, genre, album and year), as
these are used for the Player on your site and
if embedded elsewhere, so you can search your
library and find a song, etc. If you want a FREE
too that does this, then go to the
KryKey Tools
screen and download & install MP3TAG. Once
tagged you can upload the MP3.
We also recommend to have the songs bitrate at
320K to get the best sound, but all other
bitrates are played.
The current maximum song upload is 30Mb. |
Once you have finished uploading the songs,
click/tap the Studio button on the top right of
the music library screen to get back to the
Studio. |
START PLAYING MUSIC AND
BROADCASTING/STREAMING |
This is the quickest to get going after you have
made sure the songs are tagged and now uploaded
into the music library. |
- open the song/music library tab on the
right
- the song in the tab, click, hold down
mouse button and drag to the left into the
broadcast area
you can then click on any song, podcast,
promo, etc., on here and move them up and
down and place as required
- click/tap when you want to start
playing/broadcasting/streaming, or you can
just double click the song to start
- this is a FADER for the studio mic and
music as they are separate streams, we
recommend you do now use this unless your
using the microphone and talking to the
listeners via the players only (does not
work on mobile apps as LyvShow is required)
- studio speaker to turn on and off by
clicking/tapping
- to get rid of any song, podcast, etc.,
then click on the required song and then
click/tap once the clear button as two quick
clicks/taps will clear it all
SHARED MUSIC LIBRARY |
The Shared Music Library has songs that have
been submitted by Indie Artists via our service
(click here to see it) and can be used by you to
play as much as you want free from royalties. To
add any of the music to your music library,
first open the shared music library by clicking
SOUND LIBRARY in the top Studio navigation.
- open the KryKey Music Library (KML)
- click/tap ADD next to the song you want
in YOUR music library
- click/tap and go back to the Studio and
open the song tab on the right and rag the
song into the broadcast area.
PODCASTS |
Uploading podcasts are essentially the same via
the Podcast Library, but you can add the podcast
name and description on this screen and then
upload.
Please note current upload limit per podcast is
140Mb . |
That should get you broadcasting/streaming to
the world pretty quickly,
and you then need to
have a look at more of our help and support
screens and videos at
