We keep hammering away about Twitter, but it does
work, it really does help your premium radio station.
First of all we ask when you tweet to add #KryKey #320K
#BetterThanFM (all of them) to your tweets, so we see them
and then can re-tweet to our thousands of followers.
The example we will use is that of OZ 1788 - OZ 1788 has over
40,000 listeners a week, and they don’t even have live shows.
They use Twitter to get the word out. Here is two of their
tweets, one is to their premium radio station web site,
and one is to their Tunein stream address:
- NEW #Australian Artist #Top20 Singles #NowPlaying
www.OZ1788.com #Streaming at #320K from #Sydney
#KryKey #Radio #BetterThanFM
- NEW #Australian Artist #Top20 Singles on @TuneIn
#NowPlaying
http://tun.in/sfse2 #Sydney #KryKey #Radio
#BetterThanFM
The above tweets have important #Tags in them:
- #Australian - what type of music and nationality
- #Top20 - Genre
- #NowPlaying - those searching for now playing will see
this tweet
- #Streaming - those searching for streaming will see this
tweet
- #Radio - those searching for radio will see this tweet
- #320K #BetterThanFM #KryKey - so we see and can re-tweet
- #Sydney - location of station
They also send out these for to let people know they are on
our mobile apps:
and finally, when they post on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OZWebRadio),
it is sent to twitter.
Because the #Tags we ask for are in them, they get re-tweeted
by out three Twitter accounts, a Genre Twitter account and three
others:
- Twitter.com/KryKey
- Twitter.com/KryKeyPremium
- Twitter.com/Top40WebRadio
- Twitter.com/320KRadio
- Twitter.com/EasyWebRadio
- Twitter.com/FindWebRadios
Twitter works, Twitter helps, try doing this daily (send one
tweet a day) for one month and see the difference. It can’t hurt
and it wont take you more than a minute each day!
